Izzy and Dylan, oh, where to start? These two are the definition of fun, the definition of couples goals, the definition of meant for each other. I could feel this from our very first phone call. Their infectious energy was oozing out of my end of the phone. I hung up feeling all tingly and energized. I was ecstatic that they wanted their engagement session in Joshua Tree (me and deserts, ya know?!) Originally, we had planned for this special bonfire session- but who knew fire pits were so hard to come across? My first thought was to rent a cute, hip Airbnb, but covid put a stop to that idea. I checked in with Izzy and she magically created the styled scene that we ended up using. What a mastermind! I wish I could take the credit, but credit where credit is due- and let me tell you, she deserves every ounce of the credit for all those stunning pieces coming together perfectly. She brought the blanket, the champagne, the charcuterie board, the basket. Izzy definitely has a magic eye and extraordinary vision.
The photoshoot was an explosion of fun! Frolicking in the desert, stealing hats, popping champagne, and eating fancy food (until the bees came for their turn!). They say time flies when you are having fun. Like I said at the beginning- these two are the epitome of fun. I just kept clicking away and before we knew it, the sun was setting and the stars twinkling. These two trusted my vision completely and together we created something truly beautiful that captures the essence of their relationship. I try not to have favorite but I gotta say this was one of favorite engagement sessions of the year. These lovebirds will get married in April of next year in Los Angeles and I am truly honored to work with them again.
Okay, also did I mention that they first bonded over dumplings, classic rock ballads, and Disneyland? it’s like the perfect combination! Oh, aaaaand they sing and play music together. Dream team, I tell ya!
