I reached out to Hunter and Hannah about a fun styled shoot last year sometime. I saw their super cute VW bus along Sunset Cliffs here in Ocean Beach, San Diego and I had been following them on instagram for a while and I just couldn’t help myself! Our schedules were pretty full so we stuck a pin in it for the time being. But then months later Hunter reached out to me through Instagram and told me he was going to propose. We set it up so it looked like just another content shoot for their instagram page. We set the “stage” at Fiesta Island, and let me tell you- Hannah had noooo idea.
Hunter had it all planned out, we would shoot and and I would set up a couple different poses that put him in the perfect position and when it felt right he would pop the question. About half way through our shoot, he got down on one knee. Hannah was so surprised and capturing that moment was all I could do to hold back my own excitement. Of course Hannah said yes! We finished our shoot and popped some bubbly!
But that sneaky (and so thoughtful and romantic!) Hunter planned a second surprise! He had invited all their family and friends to a nearby park for breakfast burritos and mimosas! Hannah had no idea and it was quit possibly the cutest thing I’ve ever seen! I loved the intimacy of it all, the thought and dedication, and that they celebrated with loved ones! I am so stoked to photograph these cuties wedding next year.
