Vicky and Nick’s Delightful Portrait Session in La Jolla

Hi All! So, this wedding boom, right? Finally we are arriving at the end of Covid. Now we can do so many things that we have been afraid or and refraining from. Whether that be as big as traveling, or as small as going to the grocery store. And one of those things has been gathering dear family and friends to celebrate- birthdays, engagements, weddings, anniversaries, whatever! And after having more than a year in lockdown any excuse to celebrate is a good one.

So the wedding industry is really feeling this. Venues are booking up, vendors are booking up. But this doesn’t mean that you can’t have your special day. We’ve come up with some ideas of how you can still plan that perfect wedding day!

  • Think ahead, plan ahead- in some cases waiting a little longer might work better

  • Choose a weekday- a weekday wedding might make it so you don’t have to wait as long for your special day. (*pro tip* it will make your venue soooo much cheaper)

  • Get married in a courthouse or elope and book a bridal portrait session for after (*pro tip consider our all inclusive elopement package*) Like Vicky and Nick did! And look how stunning this session came out.

  • Go with the flow- you’re wedding doesn’t dictate your marriage- ride the waves of the day. You will still be married!

  • Consider a nontraditional venue- rent out a mansion in Malibu, you’ll have an intimate vibe and stunning venue

  • Be creative:

          • You don’t absolutely need to have a wedding cake- what about a donut wall? Crepe station?

          • Florals too expensive or booked- Try dried florals or succulents. French beaded flowers, anyone?

          • What about a morning wedding, complete with brunch and mimosas?

If you have any other ideas or tips, drop them below in the comments. I love hearing what you all have to say.
